This page will be devoted to 'articles' on advanced topics in real time PCR, as I think of them. The first major topic will be how to choose housekeeping genes and make sure that they are behaving like they should be behaving.
Housekeeping genes
Housekeeping genes are genes whose expression is not changed in response to a variety of treatments. Traditionally these were glycolytic enzymes and structural components of the cell which were thought to be relatively constant.
